About GapMine
Built for indie founders and VCs · every insight traces to a real public post
What we do
GapMine surfaces the biggest unbuilt market opportunities by analyzing 16,400+ daily builder signals from Reddit (70+ subreddits), Hacker News, Product Hunt, GitHub Trending, and 12 other developer-focused platforms.
Every signal is classified by AI, scored by code, and aggregated into a daily ranked list of "gaps" — problems builders are actively asking for that no incumbent has solved well.
The proof
200+ GapMine predictions came true — meaning a startup, OSS project, or major company shipped a product that matches the gap we'd surfaced earlier. Average lead time: 34 days. Maximum lead time: 42 days.
You can browse every prediction at gapmine.com/track-record with the original GapMine card and the product that fulfilled it side by side.
How we differ
Most "AI market research" tools have AI write the conclusions — sounds smooth, but you can't verify anything. We flip it: AI only does three things (classify, translate, summarize). Every insight field (target buyer, pain intensity, trigger event, evidence pool) is code-extracted from real public posts. Read the full methodology.
Who we serve
US indie founders looking for validated product ideas before sinking 6 months of nights and weekends. Pre-seed and seed VCs who want early signal on demand shifts before the deal flow tells them. Builders shipping in public who use our data to validate their direction.
Pricing
Free, no signup, no paywall. Every insight links back to its source for verification. We currently make zero revenue and run this as a public utility for builders.
